The NOFI Inflatable Oil Barge is an important contribution to the challenges with temporary storage. Far too often operators are underestimating the need for temporary storage due to a lack of tank capacity or infrastructure during an oil spill. 

With focus on easy access, the NOFI Oil Barge is supplied with an open-top allowing for a wide variety of skimmers, pumps, and other means in order to empty the system. The NOFI Oil Barge system is available in several sizes ranging from 25 – 100m3.

Due to the design of the NOFI Oil Barge, practical experience shows that the operation may be continued even with one or two air chambers punctured, due to the flotation redundancy provided by the large number (14+3) of independent air chambers. The double layer of fabric in the vulnerable freeboard ensures optimal puncture resistance - especially during nearshore and beach cleaning operations.

The NOFI Oil Barge is delivered complete, including a removable roof, towing lines, lifting slings, air blower, and spare parts.
