The AVI Survival Products Liferaft meets the latest FAA TSO C70a requirements and is classified as a Type I, Transport category raft—ideal for corporate and general aviation. Designed with a dual-tube inflatable structure, it offers maximum safety and stability during overwater emergencies.
Constructed using advanced urethane-coated nylon fabric and thermal bonding technology, the seams are heat-sealed for superior strength and long-term durability. The raft includes a full suite of survival essentials: a stabilizing water ballast system, hand pump, bailing bucket, sea anchor, exterior life-lines for aiding survivors in the water, an inflation/retaining line attached to a reinforced patch to prevent drifting, and a water-activated locator light. Corrosion-resistant aluminum cylinders and valves further enhance reliability while stored or in use.
The compact, soft-pack valise is made of heavy-duty polyester with secure Velcro closures, allowing for lightweight, space-efficient storage in most aircraft compartments. Each raft comes equipped with the FAR 135 Survival Equipment Kit to meet FAA compliance, with the optional 406 ELT available for those operating under extended overwater flight regulations.
