The AVI liferaft meets the latest FAA TSO C70a certification and is classified as a Type I Transport category raft, making it ideal for both Corporate and General Aviation use. It features a dual-tube inflatable design for added safety and reliability in emergency situations.
Crafted from advanced urethane-coated nylon using thermal bonding technology, the raft’s seams are heat-sealed for superior durability. Key survival features include a stabilizing water ballast system, hand pump, bailing bucket, sea anchor, exterior lifelines for passengers in the water, an inflation/retaining line secured to a reinforced patch to prevent drifting, and a water-activated locator light. Corrosion-resistant aluminum cylinders and valves are used to ensure lasting performance in harsh conditions.
The raft is packed in a heavy-duty polyester soft valise with Velcro closures, designed to be lightweight and compact for easy storage in most aircraft.
Each raft includes a FAR 135-compliant survival equipment kit to meet FAA requirements. For extended overwater operations, a 406 MHz Emergency Locator Transmitter (ELT) can be added to meet regulatory needs. AVI rafts are backed by a 5-year warranty on parts and labor and are built for long-term reliability with proper care.
