The AVI Survival Products Liferaft is FAA TSO C70a certified and compliant with FAR 121 requirements, making it a trusted solution for commercial air carriers and corporate aviation. This Type I, Transport category raft features a dual-tube inflatable design that offers enhanced safety and stability in overwater emergencies.
Constructed with advanced urethane-coated nylon using thermal bonding technology, the raft’s seams are heat-sealed to deliver superior durability. Each unit comes fully equipped with a stabilizing water ballast system, hand pump, bailing bucket, sea anchor, exterior life-lines for survivor support, an inflation/retaining line anchored to a reinforced patch to prevent drifting, and a water-activated locator light. Aluminum cylinders and valves help minimize corrosion while stored or deployed.
The raft is packed in a soft-pack valise made of heavy-duty polyester fabric with Velcro closures, offering a compact, lightweight design that’s easy to stow in aircraft compartments. It includes the FAA-compliant FAR 121 Survival Equipment Kit and allows for the addition of a 406 ELT, required for certain extended overwater flight operations.
Backed by a 5-year warranty on parts and labor, AVI liferafts are built for reliability, performance, and long service life when maintained properly.
