The Plastimo Coastal Liferaft is designed for moderate navigation conditions and operates at an inflation temperature of 0°C. It has a single floor, a fluorescent orange canopy, retro-reflective strips, and SOLAS 0.75 cd exterior lighting with a 12-hour operating time.

The canopy is manually inflated on the eight-person model, while the four- and six-person models use manually assembled fiberglass support rods.

A reversible boarding ladder and grab handle help a person climb into the raft; if the raft is upside down, the ladder reverses so the person can climb onto the capsized raft and more easily turn it upright.
